Daddy-to-be

We are still waiting. Here is the daddy-to-be. Without his support and encouragement, I would not have felt so good during my pregnancy. In these moments of waiting he is my best support. He is always so thoughtful and considerate. He is there to cheer me up, and can always make me laugh. I wish laughter could induce labor.

Cupcakes

I love cupcakes, especially those from Virginia Bakery on Shattuck. The last time we were there a chocolate cupcake didn´t even survive one minute before it was devoured.

Highway 1 California

For our Minimoon we took a little trip down Highway 1, from Berkeley to Big Sur, specifically to Ventana Inn. What a lovely place! The sights along the Highway are so enchanting that you do not feel the time pass.

My favorite boutique -Tail of the Yak

Tail of the Yak is not one of my favorite stores in Berkeley; it is my absolute favorite store. I discovered it some months after I arrived here. If you come visit our wonderful city, Tail of the Yak is a MUST. You cannot come to Berkeley without experiencing this store, which has been in the Elmwood district since 1973.

The owners are three friendly ladies who personally run the store. They have exquisite things from all over the world, ranging from paper products to beautiful antique jewelry. Everything is chosen with a strong sense of style. Entering this boutique is like entering a museum.  See for yourself.
